The war here in Ukraine has shown the world the true Ukrainian spirit: courageous and helpful to both neighbors and countrymen. Ukraine has a strong volunteering culture, and the start of the war in 2014 and the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022 brought that volunteering culture into greater focus.
In this week's speaking club, we will discuss the history of volunteering, what volunteering looks like in Ukraine in 2024, and why we volunteer.
